This 24 in necklace is my version of the traditional fetishes necklace the Navajo people made and still make. It is very difficult to obtain real ones nowadays.
 
The necklace has heishi beads of varied stones and the animals are all different and made from different stones. The turquoise color pieces are Howlite. 
 
The Navajo beleived that they would get the abilities and qualities of the animals they wore.
 
All findings are Sterling Silver.
